The Midwestern Marx Institute (MMI) is a US-based socialist journal and publishing house specialising in Marxism and political theory. It is known for producing video content, online articles, books, educational material, and the Journal of American Socialist Studies.[1] The MMI website frequently features articles on current US and global politics as well as theoretical and historical articles.
Scholars and philosophers interviewed for the Midwestern Marx YouTube channel include Gabriel Rockhill and Paul Cockshott.[2]
Censorship and Criticism[edit]
The MMI grew to popularity as a space for critical Marxist discussion and Marxist education on the social media platform TikTok, amassing over 375,000 followers before being removed from the site after the US acquired rights over US-based TikTok servers. [3]
