John Jiles (born July 8, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Fort Scott Community College, for the Virginia Union Panthers and for the West Florida Argonauts.

Early life and high school[edit]

Coming out of high school, Jiles was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the Marshall Thundering Herd. However he did not require academically, and instead decided to sign with Fort Scott Community College.[1]

College career[edit]

Fort Scott CC[edit]

In Jiles' first two seasons at Fort Scott CC, he totaled 95 receptions for 1,543 yards and 12 touchdowns, before deciding to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[2]

Virginia Union[edit]

Jiles decided to transfer to play for the Virginia Union Panthers.[3][4] In his lone season at Virginia Union, Jiles notched 40 receptions for 627 yards and nine touchdowns.[5] Jiles decided to once again enter his name into the transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2022 season.[6]

West Florida[edit]

Jiles decided to transfer to play for the West Florida Argonauts.[7][8] In Jiles lone season with West Florida, he hauled in 66 receptions for 1,255 yards and 16 touchdowns.[9] For his performance in the 2023 season, Jiles was named a Division 2 All-American.[10] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Jiles decided to declare for the 2024 NFL draft.[11]

After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Jiles signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent.[14][15]
