The Oasis at Lakeport is an upcoming resort owned by SkyView Partners, scheduled to open in 2025 in Osage Beach, Missouri, on Lake of the Ozarks.[1]

History[edit]

In 2021, Big Thunder Marine acquired 25 acres of land in Osage Beach. On June 1, 2023, development plans were approved, with an opening scheduled for 2024.[2] However, later that year, plans had to be pushed back, with the resort set to open in April of 2025, and the water park and hotel set to open in the first quarter of 2026.[1] Ground was broken on May 23, 2024.[3]

Amenities[edit]

The resort will feature roller coasters, a water park, and a Mariott Hotel scheduled to open in 2026.[4][5]

Criticism[edit]

The board of education of the Camdenton R-III School District has criticized the project receiving tax increment financing, which would direct property tax revenue from the resort towards infrastructure costs, rather than the county's public schools. However, developer Jeffery Tegethoff retorted, claiming that increased infrastrucuctre development will lead to the school receiving more property tax money in the long run.[6]
