Stacey Daniella Gabriel is a Filipina actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was appointed to represent Cainta at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 where she placed as 1st Runner-Up.[1]
Pageantry[edit]
Binibining Pilipinas 2022[edit]
In 2022, Gabriel competed in the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant, the 58th edition of the pageant.[2] In the lead up to the pageant, pageant experts forecasted Gabriel as a finalist for the 2022 edition.[3] On the coronation night held on July 31, 2022, Gabriel placed as 2nd runner-up for the crown, which was won by Nicole Borromeo.[4]
Miss Universe Philippines 2024[edit]
On February 14, 2024, Gabriel announced that she would be representing Cainta, Rizal for Miss Universe Philippines 2024 on Instagram.[5] She was formally introduced as one of the 55 candidate competing at Miss Universe Philippines 2024 on February 19, 2024.[6] Prior to the pageant, Mega named Gabriel as one of "10 Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Candidates to Look Out For", describing her as someone that "captures the eye" and "goes beyond an ordinary performance, poised to deliver impactful messages and dominate the stage with her undeniable presence".[7]
At the coronation night, Gabriel advanced to the top 5, where she was asked, "Women have inspired you throughout your life. Now, tell us about how you inspired another woman.". Gabriel answered;
"You know, I’ve been told many times that I am too short to join a beauty pageant. But now I realize that pageants are a representation and a reflection of […] that very nation. And tonight, I am not only representing myself but also every Filipino woman who see themselves in me. I hope to inspire every Filipino that just like Miss Universe, we too are limitless."[8]
At the end of the evening, Gabriel placed as 1st runner-up to the winner, Chelsea Manalo.[1]
