Khuniq (Persian: خونيق, romanizedKhūnīq and Khownyaq), also known as Kūtīyeh,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Goyjah Bel Rural District of the Central District of Ahar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 783 in 167 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 650 people in 170 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 647 people in 198 households.[2]
