Steven Gao
Steven Shichang Gao (Chinese: 高式昌; born 1972) is a Chinese electrical engineer.
Gao worked for the China Research Institute of Radiowave Propagation between 1993 and 1996, then earned a doctorate at Shanghai University in 1999. He completed post doctoral research at the National University of Singapore and subsequently moved to the United Kingdom in 2001 to serve as a research fellow at the University of Birmingham. The following year, Gao began teaching at Northumbria University as a senior lecturer,and became a reader in 2006. In 2007, Gao moved to the University of Surrey, and from 2013 to 2022, was affiliated with the University of Kent. He then returned to China for a position at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.[1][2] In 2022, Gao was selected to replace Christophe Fumeaux as chief editor of the journal IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters.[3]
Gao is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.[1][2]
