Teki Pora, commonly known as Tekipora, is a village in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, India.[4] The village is 25 km (16 mi) away from Kupwara.

Tekipora lolab is surrounded by Lush green deodars and kairo, it is at the strategic location at the fooothill of jungles and across these jungles the no of villages of Sopore and Bandipora are existing and the famous lake of Wullar is also at the other side of the hill.

This village was inhabited by Khan Dynasty who were landlords and they had migrated from Sopore into the Tekipora, their forefather was Governor of Kashmir Mian Mohammad Ramzan Khan who had ruled kashmir during Durani period and he had many sons and one among them was Raha Zaman Khan he was too Holding the portfolio of Chief Officer of that time and Chief Officer was equivalent of the present day District Magistrate and during his time his office was at Baramulla and was controlling present day three districts like Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara. He had a son namely Khair Mohammad Khan and he built Two large water tanks on his own land for irrigation purpose to irrigate his thousands kanals of land, the Tanks are commonly called as “Khan sar(Tank)” and from Khair Mohammad Khan was Born Noor din Khan who was Talugdar of the time and his seat was located at Utarmachipora at Handwara, he later resigned and said that“ my time is lost in futile exercise and am not getting time to recite The Quran ” . He had six sons and a daughter and his sons who were residents of Tekipora are Abdul Ahad Khan, Mohd Sikandar Khan, Mohi u din Khan, Mohammad Zaman Khan, Shams u din Khan, Saad u din Khan. Saad u din Khan was youngest issue of Noordin Khan, he was Forest Ranger of the time and from him only one son was born Khawaja Sonaullah Khan.

Tekipora lolab consists of many castes and was original place of Kashmiri Pandiths (Bagati) of Tekipora.They were living in greatest harmony with local Muslims and are still bonded together,most among them were serving as teachers in Government capacity .Tekipora village is having central position being surrounded by 12 villages and was hub of learning both religious Education and modern day education. The Khan dynasty and Bagati Pandith have played pivotal role in upbringing the talent and granting knowledge to people, Khans were Lumbardars since Medieval period and the said seat was always under their control and chowkidari was done by the Ganai dynasty of Tekipora.

As of the 2011 Census of India, Teki Pora village has a total population of 7,437 people including 3,711 males and 3,726 females. The literacy rate of the Teki Pora village is 49.97%.[5]
